Today was a fantastic day. We are writing letters to Steve Earle. Ask your child who he is. The letters are very touching. We'll mail them tomorrow.
We had a live Twitter conversation with Stephen Puddicombe from CBC news today. The chat was kind of out of the blue. I messaged Stephen, who I don't know, asking him how to get in touch with Steve Earl. Stephen wrote back pretty quick, I put the conversation up on the projector, and the class watched while we chatted. It was a great lesson in the POSITIVE power of social networking. Stephen Puddicombe was was pretty impressed with our letters and is going to help us get the letters delivered. All in all, a pretty exciting day.
