We are continuing with poetry, today we looked at Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost, and had a great discussion about it's meaning. It's posted to the right under poetry.
Math
The students worked very well in math today (surface area). Congrats to Lauren for coming up with an elegant solution to a tricky problem. Today's math is below for anyone who wants to review.

Science
An excellent discussion on space today and some of the vast distances involved. The slideshow is still posted to Slideshare for anyone who wants to look it over.
We'll have a 5 question science quiz tomorrow.
History
We had a discussion on North American slavery today. The class was incredibly attentive and had some excellent questions and insights. It is a difficult subject to discuss, and I struggle with the level of detail to introduce, but as always, this class showed nothing but maturity and thoughtfulness. I was very proud.
We'll have a 5 question history quiz tomorrow.
